Pictured here are
two Jews from the town of Jaroslow, Poland on February 12, 1942.
The Germans entered the city in September, 1939 and immediately
impounded Jewish property, while subjecting the Jews to forced
labor. Later that month, most of the Jews in Jaroslow (7,000) were
taken to the local sports field, robbed of their possessions, and
sent across the river into Soviet-held territory. The Jews who
remained were expelled to Sieniawa in June 1942 and suffered the
fate of the local Jews.
