Overview

The Yad Vashem Project for Film Co-Production will participate in the production of films that contribute to Holocaust remembrance, the struggle against its denial and antisemitism, and are intended for screening by means of any existing or future media in Israel and the world.

The Holocaust is an incomparable event in the history of mankind. As time goes by and the generation of victims who can attest to its occurrence diminishes, the danger of forgetting and dimming the collective memory increases.

The uniqueness of the project is in supporting and promoting projects aimed to preserve the Holocaust memory in the public conscience through the visual media. Through films we can commemorate the Holocaust effectively by combining historical facts with the emotional experience of identifying with the suffering of the victims. The use of visual media combines cognitive, rational and emotional elements. Herein it's strength.
