Ceremonies
Welcome to the educational center for ceremonies and
activities of the International School for Holocaust Studies.
On this site, you will find a variety of ceremonies and educational
activities that commemorate 2 dates: The Holocaust Heroes' and Martyrs'
Remembrance Day (Israel), and January 27th, International Holocaust
Remembrance Day. The ceremonies and educational activities are age
appropriate and offer a wide range of topics related to teaching and
learning about the Holocaust. They also include texts, testimonies, diary
entries, poetry, and prayers.

These draft guidelines on preparing
Holocaust Memorial Day have been developed by Yad Vashem and the
OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights in an
effort to help support educators who are interested in developing
programs, ceremonies and lesson plans connected with Holocaust
Remembrance Days in their respective countries. This provisional
version of the guidelines, including various examples and
educational strategies, is currently in draft form. |
