Educational

We recommend that the ceremony should be opened with
the words of two people regarding the meaning of Auschwitz.
The first is a historian who not only investigates the
topic of the Holocaust, but is also a survivor of the
camp. The second was a youth when he entered the camp.
This format offers a place not only for official definitions
but also for the personal viewpoint regarding the camp,
and it is this viewpoint that is the focal point of
the forthcoming ceremony.Note that these sources, the
writers stress the loss of identity. It is also for
this reason that we chose these sources, since the ceremony
calls for the restoration of the victims' personal identity.
