Educational Activities:
As in all commemorating countries, activities include commemoration of the Holocaust and of the various instances of genocide in the 20th century, reflection on ways to promote human rights, tolerance, and inter-religious and intercultural dialogue. Copies of “Fateless” by Nobel Prize winner Imre Kertész have been distributed to all school libraries in Hungary. Since 1997, Hungarian educators, in conjunction with the Hungarian Ministry of Education, have attended seminars annually at Yad Vashem.
