In my series of Postcards I chose to focus on Etty Hillesum, a young Jewish thinker & writer who describes in her diaries life under Nazi rule in a remarkable way: spiritual and optimistic, her special way of dealing with the unbearable reality overwhelmed me. I tried to express some of these feelings in my work.
