Interview with Michael Goldman-Gilad, Investigative Officer for the Eichmann Trial

Michael Goldman-GiladThis exclusive interview with former police Superintendent Michael Goldman-Gilad, focuses on his time in Bureau 06, the police task force assigned to prepare the case for the landmark war crimes trial of Adolf Eichmann. Goldman-Gilad sheds light on the process leading up to the trial and his own feelings as a Holocaust survivor collecting evidence against a Nazi war criminal.

Music BoxIn this issue we cover the 1989 film “Music Box”, directed by Costa-Gavras, focusing on its historical context and educational perspectives. Originally produced concurrent to the Demjanjuk war crimes trial in Israel, the plot surrounds a young attorney defending her father, accused of collaborating with the Nazis during the War.

Video Site - LangerThe Internet Department has launched a new video site covering the Fifth International Conference for Educators. Featured are streaming videos of all speakers from the morning sessions, including world-renowned scholars in the fields of Holocaust history and education. Also included are workshop abstracts from the Conference’s three days.

Online CourseThe International School recently launched the section “Germany: 1919-1943” of the online course on the Holocaust: "At the Edge of the Abyss: The Final Solution".

New Yad Vashem Publications

In this section, we present new publications Book Reviewby Yad Vashem. Also included is an article focusing on a recently published diary by 14-year-old Rutka Laskier, from the Bedzin Ghetto in Poland. All books are available at our online store.
