Ceremonies You will find a variety of ceremonies and educational activities that commemorate 2 dates: The Holocaust Heroes' and Martyrs' Remembrance Day (Israel), and January 27th, International Holocaust Remembrance Day. The ceremonies and educational activities are age appropriate and offer a wide range of topics related to teaching and learning about the Holocaust. Holocaust Resource Center The Center has a large collection of sources from the Yad Vashem Archives, including various kinds of original Holocaust-era documentation provided in English including letters and diaries written by Jews during the Holocaust, numerous photographs and original documents. The Holocaust Resource Center serves as a repository for the collection of the testimonies of Holocaust survivors that have been collected at Yad Vashem over the years, as well as excerpts from memoirs written by survivors after the war. The Resource Center supports this collection of primary sources with excerpts from research studies, as well as, works of art, and historical maps and charts. To enter, click here. |

E-Newsletter This online newsletter, published by the International School for Holocaust Studies at Yad Vashem is geared for teachers, principals, educators, and anyone who works in Holocaust education. Echoes and reflections It is a mutilmedia curriculum on the Holocaust developed by the ADL, the Shoah Foundation, and Yad Vashem. This curriculum, gives high school teachers a comprehensive tool box for teaching about the Holocaust. Yad Vashem has developed an educational website to accompany this curriculum which includes photographs, artifacts, keywords, online exhibitons, and other tools that will assist in teaching this curriculum. Journey to Poland Thousands of students travel to Poland every year, and visit Holocaust memorial sites. This site offers historical background on the locations most often visited during study seminars to Poland, including cities whose Jewish communities were destroyed, concentration camps and extermination centers. Journey of Discovery Pages of Testimony serve as symbolic tombstones, providing a unique and significant memorial for individuals who were killed in the Holocaust.
