Our Living Legacy
In April 2002, well-known Holocaust survivors, scholars and leading educators gathered at Yad Vashem, Jerusalem, to examine the legacy of Holocaust
survivors and to ensure its transmission to future generations. The international conference opened on Holocaust Remembrance Day, Yom Hashoah,

Years Wherein We Have Seen Evil
This series focuses on the story of religious Jewry during the Holocaust within a general historical context as well as a broader Jewish context.
It sheds light on the experiences and values of Orthodox Jewry – individuals as well as communities – while at the same time, meets the standards
of academic historiography. Each volume in the series is devoted to a major issue or period in the history of the Shoah. The first volume explores
the lives of Orthodox Jews in Germany in the 1930s and the churban (destruction) of the Orthodox Jewish community during the Second World War.
The second volume examines the ghetto period. Subsequent volumes will focus on the “Final Solution” and rescue work during the Holocaust.
