Hanoar Hazioni
A completely Zionist youth movement,
established in 1930. Hanoar Hazioni united a number of Zionist youth
groups and placed an emphasis on the common factors among Jewish youth
and on developing Jewish culture in a Zionist spirit.
At the beginning of its establishment, the
movement’s leaders viewed aliya to Eretz Yisrael and the
activities among the Jewish communities in the Diaspora as two equally
important missions. From the end of the 1930s, aliya was seen as
the principal mission of the movement’s graduates.
Hanoar
Hazioni continues to operate today in Israel and around the world. |
