The Joan Sourasky-Constantiner Holocaust Multimedia Research Center of the
Jerusalem Cinematheque-Israel Film Archive and Yad Vashem’s Visual Center invite
filmmakers to submit their films to the “Jewish Experience” competition at the
24th Jerusalem International Film Festival, 2007. The awards, endowed through
the generosity of Michaela and Leon Constantiner, will be granted in the
following categories:
The Yad Vashem Visual Center presents:
The Yad Vashem Directorate Chairman’s Award
For Artistic Achievement in Holocaust-Related Film
The Jerusalem Cinematheque-Israel Film Archive Multimedia Center presents:
The Lia Award
For Artistic Achievement in a Film Dealing with Jewish heritage

The films nominated will be documentaries or fictional works of at least 50
minutes, whose Israeli premiere is at the Festival ( i.e. films not yet
distributed theatrically in Israel, nor broadcasted on any Israeli TV channel,
nor shown at any other festival or public screening in Israel).

Both Israeli and international films will compete in this category.

Films must be submitted to the festival management’s selection committee no
later than April 15, 2007.

The copy for screening will include English subtitles.

The jury will include members from Israel and abroad.

The nominated films will be screened before paying audiences and invitees, at a
time and place determined by the Festival’s management.
