The Railroad Public GardenOn Sunday, June 29, 1941, announcements were distributed across the town ordering all the Jewish men (aged 18-60) to report to the market square. During the evening, all those gathered together were taken to the prison. The shootings began the following day. By July 7, 1942, 1,125 prisoners had been shot in the railroad public garden, next to the prison. The victims included many Jews. |
