Zolotaya GorkaIn September 1941, shootings were carried out next to the Zolotaya Gorka (Latvian: Zeltkalna); at the former army range, left of the Daugavpils-Riga railroad, opposite the Mezciems railway station; and in the flax factory area. The trenches were dug not only by the victims themselves, but also by Red Army soldiers, prisoners of war. Most of the shootings took place in the evening twilight hours. |
