The Market SquareOn July 5, 1941, members of the Einsatzkommando 8b rounded up together 58 Jewish men with assistance of Belarussian auxiliary police, and murdered them in the town square. Later, on July 26, 1941, the same units gathered 100-200 Jewish men, most of them members of the intelligentsia, in the market square. After being publicly tortured, 52 of them were shot dead. |
