Hours

The Holocaust History Museum is open Sunday to Wednesday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Entrance is permitted only until 4:00 p.m.) The Holocaust History Museum is open on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. (Entrance will be permitted until 7:00 p.m.). The Holocaust History Museum is the ONLY site at Yad Vashem that remains open later on Thursday. The rest of the campus closes as always at 5:00 p.m.. Friday and Eve of Holidays 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (Entrance is permitted only until 1:00 p.m.)

The Yad Vashem Archives and Library are open Sunday- Thursday 8:30 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. Books and Documents from the library may be ordered via a public service officer until 15:00.

The Hall of Names (in the Holocaust History Museum)- is open Sunday to Wednesday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Entrance is permitted only until 4:00 p.m.) The Hall of Names is open on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. (Entrance will be permitted until 7:00 p.m.).

  • Entrance to Yad Vashem and the new Museum Complex for individuals is free of charge, and does not require prior reservation

  • Yad Vashem is closed on Saturdays and Jewish Holidays.

  • Entry to the new Holocaust History Museum is not permitted under the age of 10.

  • A visit to the Holocaust History Museum will average from one and one half hours to three hours.

  • In an ongoing program, the Testimonies Department is continuing to video survivors telling their personal stories, in recording studios around the country.
    Tourists who have not been interviewed abroad and are interested in recording their stories during their stay in Israel, are invited to contact the Testimonies Department at Yad Vashem, and to be interviewed by a member of our professional staff, who work in a variety of languages.

New at Yad Vashem: Audio Guide of the Holocaust History Museum
in Hebrew, English, Arabic, French, Spanish and Russian.

Headsets can be rented at the Audio Guide desk, next to the Information desk in the Visitors’ Center.
Hire fee: 15 NIS per headset. 
Group rate: 12 NIS per headset (go to the Audio Guide desk or the Groups desk).

 

Guided tours for the public in the Holocaust History Museum
are available in Hebrew and English every day at 11:00.
Cost of tour: 30 NIS per person (includes headphones).
Number of places will be limited. Registration at the groups desk.

Reservations Center for Organized Groups

Organized groups planning their visit through an agent or escort will be obliged to coordinate their visit to Yad Vashem in advance.
